Even the sizzling heat couldn't stop our athletes from achieving an outstanding medal haul at the NSW Junior and Youth Championships over the past three days!

On Friday, hammer throwers Breanna Griffiths and Unitty Ta'uo added more medals to their personal season tally, with Breanna winning the Gold Medal in the U14s Hammer Throw with a new personal best throw of (37.13m). Unitty claimed the Bronze medal with a new personal best throw of (25.47m).

On Saturday morning, it was hammer time for Nicole Pili and Ellie Dimoulas. Both girls competed in the U17s Hammer Throw event with Nicole winning the Gold Medal with a best of (42.93m) and Ellie claiming the Silver Medal with a best of (41.92m).

2016 Australian All Schools Shot Put Champion Venita Mailei, aka "Sleepy" produced her best performance to date at the meet. The Campbelltown Collegians athlete smashed her personal best in the U17s Shot Put on her way to winning the Gold medal with a put of (15.30m). Venita also claimed the Silver Medal in the U17s Discus with a throw of (36.92m).

Jayden Duncum returned to good form claiming the Bronze Medal in the U15s Discus with a best of (38.73m). Jayden also finished fourth in the U15s Hammer Throw with a new personal best of (25.65m)
