There was a lot of fun had, as well as some awesome Discus, Shot Put & Hammer Throwing power on display at the recent 2018 NSW State Relay Championships, held at the Sydney Athletics Centre.
Our Macarthur Throws Squad & Campbelltown Collegians Club members teamed up to compete in multiple relay throwing disciplines throughout the two day event.
MTS youngsters Amelia Morgan & Unitty Ta’uo achieved new personal best on their way to claiming Gold Medals as members of the Campbelltown Collegians U14 Women Shot Put Relay Team. Unitty finished with a best put of (11.57m), Amelia’s new PB was set at (10.30m).
Unitty (46.21m) & Amelia (39.91m) claimed a second Gold Medal when they teamed up with their fellow squad members Breanna Griffiths (45.84m) & Ellie Dimoulas (39.38m) in the U18 Women Hammer Throw. The quartet threw a total of (171.34m) on their way to winning the event and setting a new NSW State Relay U18 Women 3kg Hammer Throw Record.
