Macarthur Throws Squad Golden Girl Unitty Ta’uo has continued her good run of form by claiming the Gold Medal in the Senior Girls Discus at the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association (NSWPSSA) State Championships!

With a large start list of 40 competitors, the John Warby Public School student who is only in her second season of athletics threw an impressive 40.32m, smashing her personal best by over 3 metres on the way to winning the event by 4 metres from her nearest competitor.

Unitty’s outstanding performance qualified her for the SSA National Track and Field Championships to be held in Adelaide, South Australia on between the 3rd and 9th of December as part of the Pacific School Games.

Other results at the championships | In the Girls 12/13 Years Shot Put Unitty placed 6th with (9.78m), whilst fellow squad member Amelia Morgan finished in 12th place with a put of (9.02m).

In the 11 Years Boys Discus Christopher Bugeja finished in 19th place with a best throw of (26.84m).
