The 2017 summer season is up and throwing and our young ladies were is sizzling form at the NSW All Schools Warm-up/All-comers Meet on the weekend.

7 new personal best and a few National Junior qualifiers were achieved by our throwers.

Venita Mailei took out the women’s (4kg) Shot Put with a distance of (13.10m); she also placed 1st in the (3kg) Shot Put with a new PB of (15.78m), and 1st in the (1kg) Discus with a new PB of (42.41m), all National Junior qualifiers.

13 year old Breanna Griffiths threw a National Junior qualifier and new PB of (43.12m) in the Women’s (3kg) Hammer Throw.

Unitty Ta’uo threw a new PB (35.07m) and National Junior qualifier in the Women’s (3kg) Hammer Throw. Unitty also achieved a National Junior qualifier in the (3kg) Shot Put with a new PB of (10.80m). The 12 year old youngster also placed first in the (750g) Discus with a best of (36.31m).

Amelia Morgan smashed her PB by 5m in the (3kg) Hammer Throw with a best of (25.25m). Amelia also achieved a new PB (9.95m) in the (3kg) Shot Put and placed 3rd in the (750g) Discus with (26.83m)
